NutriPro AI is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile applications and services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect various types of information to provide and improve our services:

Personal Profile Information: When you create an account and complete your profile, we collect information such as your age, height, weight, gender, activity level, and health goals. This information is used to create your personalized nutrition plan, fasting schedule, or calorie and macro targets, depending on which App you use.

Dietary Information: We collect information about your food allergies, dietary restrictions, food preferences, diet style, and any specific nutritional requirements you provide during onboarding and throughout your use of the Apps.

Meal Logs and Tracking Data: We collect information about the meals you log, including meal photos you upload for food recognition, natural-language meal descriptions you type, barcode lookups, ingredient-label photos, calorie intake, macro tracking (protein, carbohydrates, fat), and your daily and weekly progress data.

Calorie Tracking Data (NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker): We store the meals you log by text, photo, barcode, or ingredient scan; your calorie and macro targets; remaining energy for the day; unused-calorie rollover if you enable it; weight-goal pace and estimated arrival date; water and workout logs; and AI coach recaps that reference your recent history so the coach can comment on yesterday and your weekly trend.

Fasting Data (Nutri AI: Intermittent Fasting only): We record your fasting session start and end times, your selected fasting plan (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD, or custom), your fasting history, and your progression through metabolic body phases (anabolic, catabolic, fat burning, ketosis, autophagy).

Health Metrics: If you choose to use our tracking features, we store the water intake logs, body weight entries, and workout logs you record. This data stays associated with your account and is only used to show you your own trends.

Apple Health (NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker): If you connect Apple Health, the app may read body weight, dietary water, step count, active energy burned, and walking/running distance to display burned calories, activity, and related totals. If you enable it, burned calories can be added to your daily target. The app may also write body weight, dietary water, and dietary energy consumed so logged meals and measurements can appear in Apple Health. Health data is used only to show you your own totals. You can disconnect Apple Health at any time in iOS Settings or in the app.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Apps, including features you use, time spent in the app, notification preferences, and interactions with our AI coach and assistant chat features (including typed messages and, if you use voice input, the transcribed text of those messages).

Device Information: Data related to your device, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and general location data (country/region level only).

Technical Data: We collect crash logs and performance data to improve app stability and functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Personalization: To generate your customized diet plans, fasting schedules, calorie and macro targets, and recommendations based on your unique profile, goals, allergies, and preferences. Our AI uses your data to create meal recommendations, logging estimates, fasting windows, and guidance tailored specifically to you.

Food Recognition & Meal Logging: To analyze meal photos, typed meal descriptions, barcode lookups, and ingredient-label scans you submit, and to provide calorie estimates and nutritional information. This helps make tracking effortless.

Calorie Tracking (NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker): To log meals, update your daily calorie ring and macros, apply burned-calorie or leftover-calorie adjustments if you enable them, estimate a weight-goal date from your pace, and generate AI coach recaps of yesterday and your recent week.

Fasting Tracking (Nutri AI: Intermittent Fasting only): To run your fasting timer, calculate your current metabolic body phase, display your fasting history, and send phase-change notifications.

Live Activities, Dynamic Island & Widgets: Some Apps may display an active fasting timer or today's calorie totals on the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, or Home Screen widgets. This visual state is rendered on-device (and, for widgets, via an on-device App Group) and is not transmitted to our servers beyond what is already stored as part of your session or daily totals.

Progress Tracking: To display your daily and weekly progress, provide insights into your nutrition, calorie, or fasting journey, and help you stay motivated toward your goals.

Notifications and Reminders: To send you meal reminders, fasting start/end alerts, body phase transitions, water intake reminders, motivational messages, and updates based on your preferences.

AI Coach & Assistant Chat: To provide personalized responses to your questions and offer nutrition, calorie-tracking, or fasting guidance through our AI-powered chat features. In NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker, the coach may use recent meal history so it can comment on yesterday and your weekly trend.

Service Improvements: To analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, improve our AI models, enhance features, and develop new functionalities that better serve your needs.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We respect your privacy and limit information sharing to the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Apps. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us. The primary third-party services we rely on are:

• Apple App Store — handles all subscription payments and billing
• Apple Health — if you connect it in NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker, reads and writes the health types listed above, under Apple's Health privacy controls
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status and entitlements
• OneSignal — delivers push notifications (meal reminders, fasting alerts, body phase transitions, and other in-app reminders)
• Firebase (Google) — provides analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring
• Open Food Facts — if you scan a packaged-food barcode in NutriCal AI: Calorie Tracker, the barcode is sent to Open Food Facts to look up publicly available product nutrition. That lookup is subject to Open Food Facts' own terms and privacy policy
• OpenAI / AI providers — powers meal photo analysis, typed-meal parsing, ingredient-label reading, and AI coach / assistant responses. Content you send to AI features (photos, typed meal text, chat messages) is processed to generate responses and is not used to train third-party models beyond what is permitted by the provider's API terms.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections outlined in this policy.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure server infrastructure, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access and Update: You can access and update your profile information, dietary preferences, and account settings directly within the app at any time.

Data Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data directly from the app settings by using the "Clear All Data" option. Alternatively, you can request deletion by contacting us at the email provided below. Please note that some information may be retained for legal or operational purposes.

Notification Preferences: You can manage your notification and reminder settings within the app to control the types of messages you receive.

Opt-Out of Analytics: You can opt out of certain analytics tracking through your device settings or within the app preferences.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately at support@nutriproai.app.

Note on Intermittent Fasting: Intermittent fasting is not medically appropriate for minors, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, or people with certain health conditions. Nutri AI: Intermittent Fasting is strictly intended for healthy adults 18 or older. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fasting protocol.

Our Apps may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Open Food Facts for barcode lookups and Apple Health if you connect it. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Apps.
